Well-being Sessions and Bushcraft Courses

Join us at Linden Outdoorsman for Wild Dads Well-being, an adventure experience designed to help you learn valuable bushcraft and survival skills in a safe and supportive environment. Join Tim and Marcus from Linden Outdoorsman Bushcraft & Wellbeing and Northern Limits BCS instructors Grayzy and Paj for an immersive 2 day experience in The History of Campcraft.

 We will travel back in time reconnecting with our ancestors as we learn about modern tools and methods compared to what was used thousands of years ago. 

Learn about modern knives, saws, and axes, followed up by primitive flint hand tools. Get hands on with a comparison between steel and flint blades as we butcher a deer for our dinner with Marcus and James (Paj) and talk about what we can use from the carcass. 

We will explore modern fire ignition and man made tinders before we go back to the fascinating primitive friction fire methods of bow drill and hand drill. 

Discover the art of being comfortable in camp with different modern tarp shelters as well as primitive natural shelters using what the woods can supply us. This adventure is perfect for those with an appreciation for the great outdoors and a thirst for knowledge and history.

Join the Holiday Bushcraft Club with Linden Outdoorsman for some school holiday fun in the woods! Our sessions include learning bushcraft skills such as fire lighting, making bracelets with natural materials, den building, slackline zip slide, and a scavenger hunt. And what's better than ending each session with toasted marshmallows by the fire? Parents can also join in on the fun or relax by the fire and enjoy the woodland with a cup of tea or coffee.

Sit by our fire and listen to Marcus,our deer stalker, talk about how he selects and takes an ethical and safe shot followed by getting hands on with learning how to skin and butcher the deer into the different cuts of meat. Everyone will leave with some meat for the pot too! 

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with The Linden Outdoorsman with our Bushcraft Wild Camp experience. Set within the stunning Chiddinglye Estate in West Sussex, you'll have 320 acres of beautiful ancient woodland to explore, filled with giant sequoias, pines, and Mesolithic sandstone rock outcrops. Our dedicated camping areas, including a hammock camping area, bell tent platform, and woodland tent pitches, provide the perfect setting for a secluded and peaceful wild camping experience. Our central fire pit covered by a massive 8m x 8m tarp is the perfect place for a social fire cooked meal. We have a compost toilet and running mains water around the site. Plus, the nearby Missing Link Brewery Tap room is the ideal spot to relax and unwind after a day of outdoor exploration.

We are offering more than just turn up and survive though, Tim, founder and chief instructor for Linden Outdoorsman Bushcraft & Well-being will be on hand through out your stay, whether you wish to learn new bushcraft skills or practice with his guidance and supervision, build confidence with cooking by fire or go foraging, we can tailor your camp experience to suit your needs.
